Chipping our own blocks
At Roots & Shoots we use timber from our extensive tree surgery work. By using a large chipping machine we produce more chucky wood pieces and less leaf matter, making it ideal for the garden or fuel.
Types of woodchip
Superior woodchip for heating boilers
Made only from seasoned timber over 12 inches in diameter, with no leaves or twigs. We use specialised chippers to produce boiler grade woodchip.
Standard woodchip for garden mulch
Made from branch wood up to 12 inches long. It is composted to kill plant pests and diseases, neutralise plant toxins and producing a dark brown mulch.
